Process %1 (PID=%2). Active Directory contains invalid configuration object, validation error is "%3". Will wait for %4 seconds and retry.

Explanation

This Warning event indicates that Microsoft Exchange File Distribution service found an invalid configuration object in Active Directory. The File Distribution service must read the configuration data from Active Directory to distribute offline address books (OABs) and custom Unified Messaging prompts.

This event may occur because of Active Directory schema violations.

User Action

If this Warning event frequently occurs, follow these steps:

  1. Use the following Exchange Management Shell cmdlet to increase the diagnostic logging level on the General counter of the MSExchangeFDS performance object to the High setting:

    Set-EventLogLevel MSExchangeFDS\General -Level High

    Note

  2. Review other related Error and Warning events in the Application log. These related events may help you determine the cause of this warning.

  3. Use the following Exchange Management Shell cmdlet to set the diagnostic logging level on the General counter of the MSExchangeFDS performance object back to the default Lowest setting:

    Set-EventLogLevel MSExchangeFDS\General -Level Lowest

    Important

    After you finish troubleshooting this problem, you should return logging to the default level to avoid filling your event logs.

This Warning event may be ignored if it occurred during an Active Directory schema upgrade.
