Explanation

This Error event indicates that Microsoft Office Outlook Web App did not initialize. This event may occur if the following conditions are true:

  • The Outlook Web App themeinfo.xml file that is stored in the theme folder referenced in the event description contains an XML attribute such as "displayname."

  • No value is specified for this attribute.

The default location of the themes folder is C:\Program Files\ Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\ClientAccess\Owa\<version>\.

User Action

  • To resolve the error, replace the themes folder and the default subfolders with the files and folders that are located on the Exchange Server 2010 DVD. By default, those files and folders are located in the \Setup\ServerRoles\ClientAccess\owa\<version>\ folder of the Exchange 2010 DVD.

  • Contact a Microsoft Support professional to resolve this issue. To contact a Microsoft Support professional, visit the Exchange Server Solutions Center. In the navigation pane, click Assisted Support Options and use one of the assisted support options to contact a Microsoft Support professional. Because your organization may have a specific procedure for directly contacting Microsoft Product Support Services, be sure to review your organization's guidelines first.
