Process %1 (PID=%2). Active Directory contains invalid value for PollInterval attribute of OAB Virtual Directory object. The valid value range is 0-71582. The upper range limit value is used instead.

Explanation

This Warning event indicates that the File Distribution Service detected that Active Directory contains an invalid value for the PollInterval attribute of OAB Virtual Directory object. This Warning event may be ignored if it occurred during an Active Directory schema upgrade.

User Action

To resolve this error, do one or more of the following:

  • Review the Application log and System log on your Exchange 2010 servers for related events. For example, events that occur immediately before and after this event may provide more information about the root cause of this error.

  • Review the Operations Console in Operations Manager for detailed information about the cause of this alert. For more information, see the "Introduction" section in this article.

  • Use the following Exchange Management Shell cmdlet to increase the diagnostic logging level on the General counter of the MSExchangeFDS performance object to the High setting:

    Set-EventLogLevel MSExchangeFDS\General -Level High

  • Use the following Exchange Management Shell cmdlet to set the diagnostic logging level on the General counter of the MSExchangeFDS performance object back to the default Lowest setting:

    Set-EventLogLevel MSExchangeFDS\General -Level Lowest

    Important   After you have completed troubleshooting this issue, you should return logging to the default level to avoid filling your event logs.

  • Resolve your issue by using self-support options, assisted support options, and other resources. You can access these resources from the Exchange Server Solutions Center. From this page, click Self-Support Options in the navigation pane to use self-help options. Self-help options include searching the Microsoft Knowledge Base, posting a question at the Exchange Server forums, and other methods. Alternatively, in the navigation pane, you can click Assisted Support Options to contact a Microsoft support professional. Because your organization may have a specific procedure for directly contacting Microsoft Product Support Services, be sure to review your organization's guidelines first.
