Explanation

This Information event indicates that the Microsoft Exchange Transport Log Search service successfully indexed the message tracking log file.

Message tracking information is stored in a CSV file on each server that is running the Hub Transport role or the Mailbox role. Because of the large amount of message tracking information that can be generated on a server, the CSV files may grow to 10 MB or greater. In earlier versions of Exchange, it could take a long time for the Message Tracking feature to obtain results from a large message tracking file.

To improve the speed of message tracking searches, Exchange Server 2010 uses the Microsoft Exchange Transport Log Search service. This service indexes the message ID, and address information in the message tracking log file. This makes search operations against the log file much faster.

For more information about how to search message tracking logs, see Search Message Tracking Logs.
