Receive connector %1: Authentication failures have exceeded the maximum of %2 for the connection from %3. Disconnecting. |
Explanation
This Warning event indicates that a remote messaging server that is using the specified Receive connector has reached the maximum number of authentication failures that the Receive connector allows from a single IP address. This value is specified by the MaxLogonFailures parameter on the Receive connector. The default value is 3.
User Action
To resolve this warning, increase the value of the MaxLogonFailures parameter on the Receive connector by using the Set-ReceiveConnector cmdlet in the Exchange Management Shell. The valid input range for this parameter is 0 to 10. To prevent the closing of a connection on a Receive connector because of logon failures, enter a value of 0.
For more information, see Set-ReceiveConnector.
