Exchange detected that "%1" is not the correct version required to run Exchange System Manager or Exchange Server 2003. Explanation

This Error event indicates Microsoft Exchange does not support installing Microsoft Outlook 2000 or earlier and Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 (including Exchange System Manager) on the same computer.

User Action

To resolve this error, do one or more of the following:

  • Install Exchange 2007 on another computer.

  • Remove any versions of Outlook 2000 or earlier from the computer before you install Exchange 2007.
