Unable to Get Voice Mail and Calendar Information

Topic Last Modified: 2012-06-21

Voice mail, calendar, and other Microsoft Exchange information is available from a device only after the user has logged on with his or her UNRESOLVED_TOKEN_VAL(nm-oc-14-3rd) credentials (user name and password), which allows the user to authenticate with Exchange Web Services (EWS). To provide these credentials, the user must physically connect the device to a computer that is running Lync Server. After this process is complete, the user can access voice mail, calendar, and other Exchange information and join meetings directly from his or her device.

Device Does Not Have Calendar and Voice Mail Information

Issue: The user has logged on to the device and to Lync Server. The user can make and receive calls, but the calendar and other Exchange information isn’t available.

Resolution: Have the user connect the device to a computer that is running Lync Server by using a USB cable and then log on to Lync Server with his or her Lync Server credentials. After authentication is complete with the EWS server, the user’s voice mail messages, calendar, and other Exchange information will be available on the device, and the user will be able to join meetings directly from the device.
