Get DPM Server Capacity
Applies To: Opalis 6.3
The Get DPM Server Capacity object is used to configure a policy that queries a Data Protection Manager server for its available free storage capacity. This information helps you determine the placement of backup data.
The Data Protection Manager server's storage pool returns raw gigabytes (GB) capacity information. This data requires additional calculation using foundation library activities to perform real-world capacity checks. Typically, Data Protection Manager needs two to three times the storage space used by the primary data.
For the procedure to configure this object, see: Configuring the Get DPM Server Capacity Object.
