Get Activity

The Get Activity object is used to query for activity records for the selected activity class.

The following published data elements are specific to Get Activity. Additional published data is generated based on the class that you select when you define the object. For a list of the data elements published by each class, see Service Manager Published Data.

Get Activity Published Data

Element Description

Object GUID

The unique identifier (GUID) of the single activity to be retrieved

Number of Objects

The number of objects returned by Get Activity

Configuring the Get Activity Object

To configure the Get Activity object

  1. From the Objects pane, drag a Get Activities to the active policy. Double-click the Get Activity icon.

  2. On the Details tab, in the Properties section, click the ellipsis button (...), and then select the Connection to the Service Manager computer that you want to use for this object.

  3. Click the ellipsis button (...), and then select the Activity Class that you want to use to define this object.

  4. To limit the retrieval activity to a single item in the Activity Class, enter the Object GUID of the item. If applicable, to automatically populate the value for the Object GUID from the data published by a previous object in the workflow, right-click the property box, point to Subscribe, and then click Published data. Click the published data element you want to use, and then click OK.

    The published data for each object depends on the class that was selected when the object was created. For a list of the data elements published by each class, see Service Manager Published Data.   6. Click Finish.
