Filestream and FileTable Functions (Transact-SQL)

This section describes the system functions related to the FILESTREAM and FileTable features.

FileTableRootPath (Transact-SQL)

Returns the root-level UNC path for a specific FileTable or for the current database.

GetFileNamespacePath (Transact-SQL)

Returns the UNC path for a file or directory in a FileTable.

GetPathLocator (Transact-SQL)

Returns the path locator ID value for the specified file or directory in a FileTable.

PathName (Transact-SQL)

Returns the path of a FILESTREAM binary large object (BLOB).
