Import data about the relying party published online or on a local network |
When you select this option, you must specify the host name or URL of the server in the relying party organization that has published the required URL, claim, and certificate data that is necessary for creating the relying party trust. If this option is selected and you have successfully obtained the necessary data, this wizard provides you with the opportunity to confirm the data values that were obtained before you complete the wizard. |
Federation metadata address (host name or URL) |
Provides a space for you to type a host name or URL of the Federation Service in the relying party that publishes the federation metadata for the relying party. |
Import data about the relying party from a file |
When you select this option, information that is required for creating a relying party trust is taken from the file that you select in Federation metadata file location. To select a file, click Browse, and then navigate to the location of the file. We recommend that you first acquire the necessary file from an administrator in the relying party organization before you select this option. |
Enter data about the relying party manually |
When you select this option, the remaining pages in this wizard prompt you for the URL and certificate data that is required for creating a relying party trust. We recommend that you first acquire the necessary data and certificate files from an administrator in the relying party before you select this option. |
