MapPoint Tutorial

MapPoint helps you turn large amounts of location-based information into maps that are practical and easy to understand. This tutorial steps you through the process of taking sample data, importing it into MapPoint, and displaying it on the map in a meaningful way.

Sample map and data files

There are many examples of MapPoint maps and sample data files that can be used to create MapPoint maps in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft MapPoint 2013\Samples\ folder. There are a variety of files available, including several MapPoint map files with territories that are based on typical marketing areas in the U.S. and Canada.

Note   This is the default installation location of the sample files. If you installed MapPoint in a different location, use Search or Find in Windows Explorer to locate the Samples folder.
