Change HomeGroup settings

After you set up your homegroup, you can change some HomeGroup settings by accessing the Change HomeGroup settings page of the Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials server settings.

To access then Change HomeGroup settings page

  1. Open the Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials Dashboard.

  2. Click Server settings. The Server Settings page appears.

  3. Click HomeGroup.

The following table lists the settings you can change from the Change HomeGroup settings page:

Change settings

Click Change settings to change the level of access that users have to shared folders on the server. You can choose Full access, Read only access, or No access.

Change homegroup password

Click this link to change the password for your homegroup.

Leave the homegroup

Click this link to leave your homegroup.
