If you want to download the complete Internet Explorer 9 installer, perhaps for deploying to multiple systems, you need to make sure you download the correct version for your operating system. Here are the four main downloads and the OS requirements:

Internet Explorer 9 for Windows 7 32-bit
This version of Internet Explorer 9 is for 32-bit versions of Windows 7. It will work with or without Windows 7 Service Pack 1 installed.

Internet Explorer 9 for Windows 7 64-bit and Windows Server 2008 R2
This version will work on 64-bit versions of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. It will work with or without Service Pack 1 installed on those operating systems. But note that if you are running a non-R2 release of Windows Server 2008, you will need a different version of Internet Explorer 9.

Internet Explorer 9 for Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 32-bit
This version will run on 32-bit versions of Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008. Note that you must have Service Pack 2 installed on these operating systems to support Internet Explorer 9.

Internet Explorer 9 for Windows Vista 64-bit and Windows Server 2008 64-bit
This version of Internet Explorer 9 is for 64-bit versions of Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008. You must have Service Pack 2 installed on these operating systems to support Internet Explorer 9. Note that if you are running Windows Server 2008 R2, you need a different installer.
