Click Preprocessing upgrade checklist > Prepare application data for preprocessing > Product upgrade > View > Product preview.

Use this form to view how items are mapped to products. You can also use this form to complete tasks for all products or selected products.

NoteNote

Some tasks, such as product mapping and product approval, can be performed both in this form and in the Product upgrade form. However, data in the Product upgrade form displays with the item as the point of departure. In this form, data is displayed with the product as the point of departure.

You can complete the following tasks from this form:

  • Map items to products.

  • Approve mappings of all products or selected products, and also reverse the approval for a mapping approval.

    NoteNote

You can also approve mappings from the Product upgrade form. However, an approval that is completed in the Product upgrade form applies to all items that are listed in the form. If you work from the Product preview form, you can also approve the mapping of selected products.

  • Lock products, so that they are excluded from future mappings.

  • Validate mappings, and view detailed descriptions of validation results, so that you can resolve validation errors.

  • View various aspects of the mappings, such as product variants, product dimensions, and translations that are associated with the products and product variants.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Button

Description

Product mapping

Open a menu that contains the following items:

  • Map all items by item number – Map existing items to products by using item numbers. By using this mapping method, all items that have identical item numbers are mapped to the same product.

  • Map all items 1:1 – Map all existing items to a unique product, and replicate the existing item number in the new product number.

Product mapping approval

Approve all mappings or selected mappings, or reverse approvals.

NoteNote

From this form, you can approve or reverse the approval of selected items only. If you approve or reverse the approval of mappings from the Product upgrade form, the action applies to all of the mappings in the form.

NoteNote

Locked products are excluded when mappings are performed. When the mapping of a set of products is complete, you can lock the products. The locked products are not affected if you perform another mapping later.
