Upgrade validation results (form)
Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012
Click Preprocessing upgrade checklist > Upgrade readiness > Readiness results.
Use the Upgrade validation results form to view information about each upgrade readiness script that has been run. This form also provides tools that can help you resolve errors that cause scripts to fail.
Tasks that use this form
The readiness scripts identify conditions that will affect the data upgrade, usually by causing a failure at some stage. The success or failure of each script is displayed in a grid. If a script fails, the form explains why the failure occurred and what action must be taken to resolve the problem. For some failures, you can use Fix buttons to fix the data by running logic that is embedded in the form itself. Make sure that you fix all errors before you begin the upgrade. We recommend that you run the upgrade readiness check during non-business or non-peak hours, and that you run it more than once. A good approach is to run it three times:
First run – Identify issues.
Second run – Confirm that issues from the first run have been resolved.
Third run – Before you run the live preprocessing scripts, make sure that no new data has been processed by Microsoft Dynamics AX since the readiness check. New data can cause the preprocessing scripts to fail.
We also recommend that you run the upgrade readiness check before you enter single-user mode.
Tip
There is no limit to the number of times that you can run the check.
