Dimension focus upgrade errors (form)

Use this form to view and resolve the dimension focuses upgrade errors that occurred when the dimension focuses were upgraded to financial dimension sets for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. In releases before Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, financial dimension sets were called dimension focuses.

Open this form

  1. Click Prepare financial dimension framework for upgrade to open the Prepare financial dimension framework for upgrade form.

  2. Click Dimension focus upgrade validation to display the dimension focuses and upgrade errors.

The following table provides descriptions for the controls in this form.

Description

Set

The dimension focus.

Status

The status of the upgrade of the dimension focus to a shared financial dimension set.

  • A green check mark indicates that there are no issues with the dimension focus and it was updated to a financial dimension set.

  • A red X indicates that there is an issue with the dimension focus and it was not updated to financial dimension set. The issue is displayed in the Error field.

Error

The issue with the dimension focus, if any. More information is displayed in the lower pane.

Select

Select the check box next to a dimension focus to use that dimension focus as a shared dimension focus for the legal entities. When you close the form, the information will be saved.

Company

The company names from before the upgrade that the dimension focus is set up in.

The check boxes that are selected for each dimension focus are the dimension focuses that are available to be shared for the legal entities.

Description

The description of the dimension focus.
