Click Procurement and sourcing > Common > Catalogs > External catalogs.

Use this page to create and activate access to external vendor catalogs. When you set permissions to access external vendor catalogs, users can order items and services directly from the vendor's catalog site.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Tab

Description

External catalog

Add configuration data for a new external vendor catalog, activate or inactivate access to the catalog, and attach an image file for the vendor that can be displayed on the procurement site. You can also access related information such as the vendor list or the procurement category hierarchy, export the catalog list to Microsoft Excel, and view documents that are attached to the selected catalog.

Edit

Delete

Remove an external vendor catalog from the list.

NoteNote

If an item from the external vendor catalog has been requested, the vendor catalog cannot be deleted. Instead, the vendor catalog is set to a status of inactive.

Activate catalog

Set the external vendor catalog status to Active so that it is available to be added to a procurement catalog.

An external vendor catalog can be set to a status of active before you have completed the configurations. However, you must complete and validate the external vendor catalog configurations before the external vendor catalog can be made available on the procurement site.

Inactivate catalog

Prevent the user from accessing the external vendor catalog from the procurement catalog. This action does not delete the external vendor catalog from the External catalog list page.

External catalog image

Open the Document handling form, where you can attach the image that you want to appear on the procurement site for the vendor’s external catalog. For example, the vendor’s logo.
