Interest lines (form) (Public sector) [AX 2012]

Click Accounts receivable > Periodic > Collections > Interest note. Open the Transactions tab, select a transaction, and then click the Interest Lines button at the top of the form.

Use this form to view interest for a specific invoice line.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.




Any customizable information about the interest on the selected invoice line. This button is always available when interest is calculated at the line level and will appear as transaction text on the Interest note report.


You cannot edit the notes after the interest note is posted.



Customer account

The account number of the customer who is being charged interest. Interest is charged to the invoice account that is assigned to the customer.


The name of the customer who is responsible for the invoice account and to whom the interest note is sent. The name is retrieved automatically from the invoice account.


The invoice number of the original customer transaction on which interest has been calculated.


The currency code of the invoice transaction. The interest is calculated in the same currency as the original transaction.


The date of the original customer transaction.

Due date

The due date of the original transaction.

Invoice amount

The invoice amount on which the interest is calculated.

Amount of interest

The amount of interest that is calculated on the invoice amount.

Billing code

The Billing code used to determine the invoice line.


The description of the invoice line.

Interest code

The origin of the interest code that was used to determine the interest amount for the invoice line.

Interest source

The basis that was used to determine the interest code for the invoice line.


The invoice line amount, excluding sales tax, in the invoice currency.


The figures used for calculating interest. The amount is converted to the currency of the interest note on the day of the exchange rate, regardless of the original currency of the transaction.

Amount of line interest

The amount of interest charged on the invoice line.

Interest date

The date that the original transaction begins to accrue interest.


The number of days of accrued interest for the current transaction. The number of days is determined by the interest code.


The text that will appear on the interest note for the selected transaction. This text is entered automatically during the interest calculation and includes the invoice number.
