(AUS) Transfer asset to low value pool (depreciation book) (form) [AX 2012]

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

Click Fixed assets > Common > Fixed assets > Fixed assets. Select a fixed asset. On the Action Pane, click Depreciation books. Select a depreciation book. On the Action Pane, click Functions > Transfer asset to low value pool.

You can use this form to transfer an asset to an asset low-value pool. There will be no changes to the offset ledger account; the transaction transfers the net book value from one asset to another asset.


(AUS) This form is available only to legal entities whose primary address is in Australia.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.




Transfer the transactions to the selected fixed asset journal.



From fixed asset

The fixed asset that will be transferred.

From depreciation book

The depreciation book that includes the fixed asset to be transferred.

To fixed asset

Select the low-value pool fixed asset to transfer the low-value asset to.

To depreciation book

Select the low-value pool depreciation book to transfer the low-value asset to.

Transaction date

Enter or select the date when the asset transfer will occur.


The value of 100.00 means that the whole net book value of the low-cost asset will be transferred to the low-value pool.


Select the name of the journal that the transfer transaction is posted to.

Low value pool type

Select the transaction pool type. You can select from Low-cost asset, Low-value asset, or Second element cost.
