(THA, SAU, GBR, IRL) Set up a withholding tax code

You can create a withholding tax code by using the Withholding tax codes form. After you create the code, you can assign a tax rate, exemption percentage, reporting currency, origin, and realization point. For more information, see Withholding tax codes (form).

  1. Click General ledger > Setup > Withholding tax > Withholding tax codes.

  2. Press CTRL+N to create a new withholding tax code.

  3. In the Withholding tax code field, enter the identification of the withholding tax code.

  4. In the Withholding tax name field, enter a name for the code.

  5. On the General FastTab, in the Currency field, select the reporting currency.

  6. In the Settlement period field, select the withholding tax settlement period.

  7. In the Ledger posting group field, select the name of the ledger posting group for the withholding tax code.

  8. On the Calculation FastTab, in the Origin field, select Percentage of net amount or Percentage of gross amount as the origin of the withholding tax.

  9. In the Round-off field, enter the value for rounding in the withholding tax currency.

  10. In the Rounding form field, select the rounding method.

  11. Click Values to open the Withholding tax values form, and specify the withholding tax values for the withholding tax code. For more information, see Withholding tax values (form).
