Save as cue (form) [AX 2012]

Use this form to specify information for the filtered views that you want to make available as cues for the cues Web Parts on Role Centers.

  1. Open the form in which you want to create the filtered view.

  2. Press CTRL+F3 to create a query.

  3. Enter the filter criteria. For information about filter options, see Finding, filtering, and sorting records.

  4. Click Modify... > Save as cue.

  2. Enter the filter criteria. For information about filtering list pages, see Filter a list page.

  3. From the drop-down menu of the list-page title, click Save As cue.

The following table provides descriptions for the controls in this form.

Field

Description

Name

Enter a name. You can enter up to 50 characters.

Show sum of field

Enable this option, and select a table in the drop-down list to give users quick access to sum information (a total) in a cue—for example, the sum of unprocessed orders. The tables that appear in the drop-down list are the tables that are used by the query in the current form.

Show alert when count is

Enable this option, and select a threshold in the drop-down list to display an alert on a Role Center when a threshold is reached. For example, GreaterThan 50 on a cue for unprocessed orders would display an alert on the cue when the number of unprocessed orders is 51 or higher.

Visibility

Select which users can view the cue:

  • Personal – You can add the cue to your Role Center.

  • Everyone – All users can add the cue to their Role Centers.

  • Specified profiles – Only users in the specified profiles can add the cue to their Role Centers. Select the profiles in the list.

NoteNote

You can select Everyone or Specified profiles only if you have the appropriate permissions in Microsoft Dynamics AX to create cues for other users.
