Initialization checklist > Synchronize database

When you select Synchronize database, the effect of all changes to tables and indexes that you have selected are analyzed and then applied to the database. The Synchronize database form provides information about the effect that the synchronization process will have.

The following table provides descriptions for the controls in this form.

Displays a summary of the errors and warnings that will be encountered during synchronization.

Lists errors that will be encountered during the synchronization process.

Lists warnings that will be encountered during the synchronization process.

Print the list of errors and warnings.

Export script

Export the data definition language (DDL) statements that will be executed during the synchronization process to a script. To help speed processing, for example, to run scripts in parallel, you can run exported DDL scripts from outside Microsoft Dynamics AX. However, when you run scripts in parallel from outside Microsoft Dynamics AX, you may encounter dependency issues and errors. Microsoft cannot assume responsibility for issues encountered if you decide to run DDL scripts outside the client. We strongly recommend that if you are going to run an exported script that you first create a backup of the database.

Continue the synchronization process.

Cancel the synchronization process.

Lists any tables that will encounter errors or warnings during the synchronization process.

Lists the text of errors and warnings.
