Time periods (form)

Click System administration > Setup > Business intelligence > Analysis Services > Time periods.

Use this form to create time periods for the Business Overview Web part when you use Role Centers in Enterprise Portal.

Import

Import the default time periods from the AOT, or import an XML file that contains the time periods that you created.

Export

Export created time periods into the AOT, or export an XML file of created time periods to a specified location.

Fields

Period ID

Create a unique numeric identification for the time period.

Description

Enter a description for the time period.

Display name

Enter the name that you want to display in the Business Overview Web part.

Display rank

Enter the order in which you want the time periods to be displayed in the Business Overview Web part.

Visible

Select this check box to display the time period in the Business Overview Web part.

Current period MDX

Enter the Multi-Dimensional Expression (MDX) that defines the current period value to display in the Business Overview Web part.

Previous period MDX

Enter the MDX that defines the previous period value to display in the Business Overview Web part.

Template

Select this check box to use this time period as a template. Template MDX expressions can be used in other time periods by entering the name of the time period instead of the whole MDX expression. This lets you reuse the common MDX expressions.

Template MDX

Enter the MDX for the template.
