AIF value substitution configuration (form) [AX 2012]

Click System administration > Setup > Services and Application Integration Framework > Inbound ports. Create or modify an enhanced integration port. Then, on the Processing options FastTab, click Inbound pipelines. Select the AifValueSubstitutor component, and then click Configure. Select a parameter, and then click Configure value substitution.

Click System administration > Setup > Services and Application Integration Framework > Outbound ports. Create or modify an enhanced integration port. Then, on the Processing options FastTab, click Outbound pipelines. Select the AifValueSubstitutor component, and then click Configure.

Use this form to assign the identifiers of lookup tables to document elements. By assigning lookup table IDs, you define rules for value substitution. If a lookup table that you want to use is not listed, use the Value substitution maps form to create a new lookup table. For more information, see AIF value substitution maps (form).

The following table provides descriptions for the controls in this form.

Field

Description

Element name

The name of the element that a value substitution map is applied to.

Lookup table ID

Select the identifier of the lookup table that defines rules for value substitution.

XPath

The XML-based path of the element.

Extended data type name

The name of the data type that corresponds to the XML element, if a data type exists.
