Update tax data

Import a new version of the tax data file. This is typically done for one of three reasons.

  • When a new tax engine has been installed, to synchronize the tax data.

  • When a worker tax code parameter was unintentionally deleted, to restore the deleted parameters. In this case, the process runs for all workers, but only the tax records of those workers who have missing parameters are changed.

  • When instructed to do this by customer support.

Note

This control is available only if Payroll for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 is installed.

Available for assignment

When new positions are created, select the appropriate worker assignment behavior:

  • Always – You can assign workers to new positions when positions are created. The Available for assignment date and time will be set to the creation date and time on the General tab of the Position form when positions are created.

  • Never – You cannot assign workers to new positions when positions are created. If you select this option, you will have to open the Position form for each new position when it becomes available and enter the Available for assignment date on the General tab to enable worker assignment.

Note

This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.
