Add privileges to role (form)

Click System administration > Setup > Security > Security roles. Select a role and click Add....

Use this form to add duties or privileges to a security role. Privileges represent access to tasks, such as canceling payments or processing deposits. Privileges are combined into duties, which represent parts of a business process, such as maintaining bank transactions. Both duties and privileges can be assigned to roles to grant access to the application.

Select one of the following viewing options:

  • Process cycle: View duties and privileges based on the business process cycles they are associated with.

  • Role: View duties and privileges based on the security roles they are associated with.

  • Duty / privilege: View an alphabetical list of duties and privileges.

Type

Indicates whether the security object is a duty or a privilege.

This field is displayed only when Duty / privilege is selected in the View by menu.
