Product dimensions (form)

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

Click Product information management > Common > Products > Product masters. Then, on the Action Pane, in the Product master group, click Product dimensions.

You can use this form to assign product dimensions of the types Size, Configuration, and Color to product masters.

Note

The availability of the links Configurations, Sizes and Colors in this form depends on the active dimensions on the dimension group that is associated with the product master.

Tab	Description
Configurations	Define values for the Configuration product dimension for the product master.
Sizes	Define values for the Size product dimension for the product master.
Colors	Define values for the Color product dimension for the product master.

Buttons

Button	Description
New	Create a new product dimension values.
Delete	Delete a product dimension value. Note A dimension value cannot be deleted when product variants have been created that use the dimension value.

Fields

Fields	Description
Configuration	Configurations for variants that are based on the product master.
Size	Sizes for variants that are based on the product master.
Color	Colors for variants that are based on the product master.
Name	The name of the product dimension value.
Description	Description of the product dimension. Tip This description is only for information about the dimension. It is not shown when you select the product dimension on, for example, an order line.
