PowerShell Reference for PowerPivot for SharePoint

This section lists the PowerShell cmdlets used to configure or administer a PowerPivot for SharePoint installation. For more information about enabling the cmdlets and viewing built-in help, see PowerPivot Configuration using Windows PowerShell.

Cmdlet List

The number of cmdlets available depends on the version of SharePoint. PowerPivot for SharePoint utilizes a new architecture with SharePoint 2013. The new architecture allows the Analysis Server to run outside the SharePoint farm and requires fewer management PowerShell cmdlets, as the engine service is not used.

To see a list of cmdlets:

  1. Open SharePoint Management Shell using the Run as Administrator option.

  2. Enter the following command: Get-help *powerpivot*
