Click Product information management > Common > Released products. Select the item you want to work with. On the Action Pane, on the Manage inventory tab, in the Batch attributes group, click Product specific.

Use this form to create, maintain, or delete batch attributes and batch attribute groups for batch-controlled inventory items. You can add multiple batch attributes or batch attribute groups to an item. However, you cannot add the same attribute or attribute group to the same item multiple times.

Fields

Field

Description

Item number

The unique identification code for the specified item.

Product name

The product name for the item.

Attribute code

Select one of the following options to determine the value that you can select in the Attribute relation field for the specified item:

  • Table ─ Add a batch attribute to the item. If you select this option, you can select a batch attribute in the Attribute relation field.

  • Group ─ Add a batch attribute group to the item. If you select this option, you can select a batch attribute group in the Attribute relation field.

  • All ─ Add all batch attributes to the item. If you select this option, the Attribute relation field is not available.

Attribute relation

Select the relationship you want to attach to a specified batch attribute. This field is determined based on the selections in the Attribute code field.

If you have selected Table in the Attribute code field, select the specific attribute you want to add to the item. If you have selected Group, select the batch attribute group you want to add to the item.

Tolerance action

Select one of the following options to set the response that will be displayed when an Integer or Fraction attribute is outside the range defined in the Minimum and Maximum fields:

  • Warning ─ Displays a warning if an attribute value does not fall in the minimum and maximum range. Note that this action does let you process your input.

  • Not allowed ─ Displays an error to warn you of an invalid entry. Your input is rejected.

Minimum

Update the minimum value in the attribute range for the Integer and Fraction attribute types.

Maximum

Update the maximum value in the attribute range for the Integer and Fraction attribute types.

Increment

Update the increment that determines the attribute values that you can specify based on the attribute range specified in the Minimum and Maximum fields.

Target

Update the optimal value for the specified attribute.

Default

Enter the value that you want to use as the default value for the base attribute that is attached to the specified item. The value for the attribute must be Integer, Fraction, or Enumerate.

Note

This field is available only if the inventory dimension group for the specified item is set up as a primary dimension with the batch dimension active.
