Check BOM or formula (class form)

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

Click Inventory management > Common > Formula. Select a formula. Then click Functions and select Check.

Use this form to check the formula for inconsistencies or errors. If you want to check for circularity, the formula levels are searched in ascending order, from bottom to top.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

View or enter the criteria for a formula check.

Batch

Specify criteria to run the check as a batch job. For more information, see Submit a batch processing job from a form.

Check circularity

Select the check box to check for repetitious formula lines.

Display principle

Select the display principle from the following options:

  • Active

  • Selected/Active

  • Selected

  • All

Formula

View the number of the formula that you decide to check, or select a new one.

Search interval only

Select this check box to check only versions and formula lines where the period of validity overlaps the one specified in the From date and To date fields.

Search interval with lines only

Select this check box to check only formula lines where the period of validity overlaps the one specified in the From date and To date fields.

From date

Enter the start date for the interval that contains the versions and formula lines that you want to check.

To date

Enter the end date of the interval that contains the versions and formula lines that you want to check.
