Click Project management and accounting > Inquiries > Resource scheduling > Resource assignment analysis - worker.

In Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 or cumulative update 7 or later for AX 2012 R2: Click Project management and accounting > Common > Projects > All projects. Select or open a project. On the Action Pane, on the Control tab, in the Utilization group, click Resource utilization, and then click Resource assignment analysis - worker.

Use this form to view and analyze a list of worker assignments and availability for assignment to projects.

Note

If you are using Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack or Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, this form is available only if the Project Management and Accounting Add-in is installed.

Navigating the form

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Filters

After you select the criteria for which to view worker assignments, click Search.

Filter	Description
Start date	Select the start date of the date range for which you want to review worker assignment details.
End date	Select the end date of the date range for which you want to review worker assignment details.
Worker	Select a worker for whom to view scheduled and available hours. Note This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.

Start date

Select the start date of the date range for which you want to review worker assignment details.

End date

Select the end date of the date range for which you want to review worker assignment details.

Worker

Select a worker for whom to view scheduled and available hours.

Note

This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.

Resource manager

Select the resource manager for the workers whose assignments you want to view.

Note

This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 is installed.

Display periods

Select this check box to display the current assignments for the worker.

Note

This control is not available if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.

Buttons

Button	Description
Employee	Open the Workers form, where you can view detailed information about the selected worker. Note This control is not available if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.
Assignments	Open the Resource assignments form, where you can view the hours, dates, and projects scheduled for the selected worker.
Scheduling details	Open the Schedule resources form, where you can schedule workers for the selected project. Note This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 is installed.
Resource Manager scheduling	Open the Schedule resources form, where you can assign projects to a worker. Note This control is not available if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.

Fields

Field	Description
Employee	The identifier for the worker who is assigned to the project. Note If the Display periods check box is selected, the Employee field name changes to Employee/period, and the worker’s assignment and name appear. Note This control is not available if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.
Hard-booked hours	The number of hours that workers are firmly scheduled to work on projects. Note This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.
Soft-booked hours	The number of hours that workers are tentatively scheduled to work on projects. Note This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.
Capacity	The total number of hours that the worker is available to work on projects during the date range that you selected in the search criteria.
Unscheduled hours	The number of hours that are not yet scheduled for the worker in the specified date range. This value is the effort in hours after hard-booked and soft-booked hours are subtracted. Note This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.
Hard commitments	The number of hours that the worker is firmly committed to the project. Note This control is not available if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.
Soft commitments	The number of hours that the worker is tentatively committed to the project. Note This control is not available if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.
Availability in percentage	The availability of the worker to be assigned to the project, shown as a percentage. Note This control is not available if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.
Unscheduled hours	The number of hours available in the worker’s calendar during the specified time range.
Utilization % - hard	The percentage of the worker’s time that is firmly assigned to projects.
Utilization % - soft	The percentage of the worker’s time that is tentatively assigned to projects.
Total utilization %	The total percentage of a worker’s time that is assigned to projects.
Unscheduled hours %	The percentage of effort on a project that is not assigned to workers. Note This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.
Non-utilized %	The percentage of a worker’s time that is not assigned to projects. Note This control is not available if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.
