Model rates (form)

Click Project management and accounting > Setup > Indirect costs > Indirect cost component groups. In the Indirect cost component groups form, click Assign indirect cost components. In the Assigned indirect cost components form, click Model rates.

Click Project management and accounting > Setup > Indirect costs > Indirect cost component groups. In the Indirect cost component groups form, click Assign indirect cost components. In the Assigned indirect cost components form, click Compounding rules, and then, in the list, select the type of compounding rule to use. In the selected compounding rules form, click Model rates.

Use this form to create pro forma calculations for indirect cost component amounts, and the sequence in which the indirect cost components are calculated. The calculations are based on the compounding rules and calculation method that you define for each indirect cost component.

If you are using Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack or Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, this form is available only if the Project Management and Accounting Add-in is installed.

Calculate

Calculate the indirect costs based on the amounts per hour rates in the Base amount section. These rates are automatically copied from the rates that you entered in the Assigned indirect cost components form. You can modify these rates before you calculate the pro forma indirect costs.

Enter a value to use to calculate indirect costs based on the specified cost compounding rules.

Revenue

Enter a value to use to calculate the revenue associated with the indirect costs. The revenue amount is calculated by using the specified revenue compounding rules.

Invoice

Enter a value to use to calculate the amount to invoice the project customer for indirect costs. The invoice amount is calculated by using the specified invoice compounding rules.

Hours

Enter the number of hours to use to calculate indirect costs. By default, one hour is displayed.

Rate Date

Enter the effective date for the rates to use to calculate indirect costs. The default date is today’s date.

Indirect cost component

The indirect cost components that are included in the indirect cost component group, which you selected in the Assigned indirect cost components form.

Cost amount

The calculated amount for the indirect cost component. The amount is based on the Cost amount that is entered in the Base amount section, the number of hours, and the cost-based compounding rules that you defined for the indirect cost component.

Revenue amount

The calculated amount of revenue associated with the indirect cost component. The amount is based on the Revenue amount that is entered in the Base amount section, the number of hours, and the revenue compounding rules that you defined for the indirect cost component.

Invoice amount

The calculated amount to add to a customer invoice for the indirect cost component. The amount is based on the Invoice amount that is entered in the Base amount section, the number of hours, and the invoice compounding rules that you defined for the indirect cost component.

Cost

The total amount of the calculated cost amounts for all indirect cost components.

Revenue

The total amount of the calculated revenue amounts for all indirect cost components.

Invoice

The total amount of the calculated invoice amounts for all indirect cost components.
