Assign circulating card (form)

Click Production control > Common > Lean manufacturing > Kanban board for process jobs. In the Kanban production board grid, select a job that has no card assigned. On the Action Pane, on the Pick tab, click Prepare.

Use this form to manually assign a circulating card to a kanban. You perform this task when you prepare a job and change the Job status from Planned to Prepared. The following conditions are prerequisites:

  • The kanban references a kanban rule that is configured to use circulating cards.

  • The card assignment method on the rule is set to Manual.

Tip

  • Configure the use of circulating cards on the Kanban and cards FastTab in the Kanban rules form.

  • The circulating cards must be created. Use the Create circulating cards form, which you can open by clicking the Create cards button on the Kanban and cards FastTab in the Kanban rules form.

  • If the card assignment method on the rule is set to Automatic, you do not see or use this form.

  • Prepare a job by using the Kanban board for process jobs form. On the Action Pane, on the Pick tab, click Prepare.
