Use the Chart of accounts form to create, manage, and view your company’s general ledger accounts in a structured list. The general ledger accounts contain financial data about your company’s activities. You can set up Zakat information for different types of accounts in the Chart of accounts form. For Revenue, Cost, or Profit and Loss account types, use the fields in the Profit and loss accounts field group. For Assets, Liabilities, or Balance account types, use the fields in the Balance accounts field group.

  1. Click General ledger > Setup > Chart of accounts > Chart of accounts.

  2. On the Main accounts FastTab, select a ledger account, and then click Edit to open the Main accounts - chart of accounts: %1 form.

  3. In the Select the level of main account to display field, select Legal entities.

  4. Click the Zakat information FastTab, and then in the Profit and loss accounts field group, select a debit transaction Zakat item and a credit transaction Zakat item.

    NoteNote

The fields in the Profit and loss accounts field group are available only if the account type is Revenue, Cost, or Profit and Loss. The fields in the Balance accounts field group are available only if the account type is Assets, Liabilities, or Balance. The Repair and maintenance check boxes are available only if you select the 20299 Misc Expenses in the Debit transaction Zakat item or Credit transaction Zakat item field.

  5. In the Zakat account name field, enter the Zakat account name.

  6. Close the form to save your changes.
