Translation (form)

Click Product information management > Common > Product configuration models. On the Action pane, click Languages > Translation.
Use this form to enter the translated text for the name and the description of product configuration models, components, sub-components, attributes and configuration templates.
Navigating the form
The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.
Filters
Filter |
Description |

Product configuration model |
Select the product configuration model that you want to create translated text for. Note Enumeration text values can be translated through the attribute type form. |
Language |
Select the language that you are creating translated text for. You can select the + button to select the languages that are available. |
Fields
Field |
Description |

Element type |
The type of element being translated. |
Component |
The component field is a reference field that displays the component that the translatable element belongs to. |
Original text |
Displays the original text of the selected element type and component combination. |
Translated |
If this check box is selected, the element type and component that is selected has been translated. |
Translation |
On the Translation tab, you can enter translated text for the name and description of the selected element. |
Name |
In the Original text field, the name of the selected element is displayed in the system language. In the Translated text field, enter the translated text for the selected element’s name. |
Description |
In the Original text field, the description of the selected element is displayed in the system language. In the Translated text field, enter the translated text for the selected element’s description. |
