This topic applies to features in the Inventory management module. It does not apply to features in the Warehouse management module.

Click Inventory management > Periodic > Shipments > Shipment staging.

Click Inventory management > Common > Shipments. Click Shipment staging.

Use this form to track the progress and whereabouts of shipments in the warehouse. You can view shipments that have the status that you have set up to view on the Setup tab.

You can only rearrange or consolidate shipments when the shipment lines have the handling status Staged or Loaded. The handling status can be verified under Dispatch transaction on the General tab.

You can set up the staging functionality in the Outbound rules by selecting the Deliver picked items field and selecting Staged in the Set picking line status to field.

Shipment

Open the Shipments (form).

Functions

Open a menu with the following items:

  • Move items to floor - Move the selected lines to the floor.

  • Move to location - Move the selected lines to the destination location.

  • Move items to another pallet - Move the selected lines to another pallet in the same shipment.

  • Move to shipment - Move the selected pallet or line to another shipment in the same site.

  • Load - Load the selected line onto the truck or container.

  • Unload - Unload the selected line onto the truck or container.

Modify

Save, delete or copy the setup.

Open a menu with the following items:

  • Unpick - Unpick selected lines.

  • Move items to another pallet - Move line(s) with a value in the Move quantity field to another pallet in the same shipment.

  • Move items to floor - Move the line(s) with a value in the Move quantity field to the floor.

  • Move to shipment - Move the line/s with a value in the Move quantity field to another shipment in the same site.

Update move quantity

Open a menu with the following items:

  • Set full move quantity - Initializes the move quantity specified in the Quantity field.

  • Clear move quantity - Clear the Move quantity column.

Inventory

Open a menu with the following items:

  • Transactions - Display the inventory transactions for the selected line.

  • On-hand - Display the items on-hand.

  • Dimensions display - Display inventory dimensions for the lines.

Setup name

Select a saved parameter.

Shipment

Specify the shipment ID used by the warehouse system.

Location

Specify the location in the warehouse.

Site

Specify the site.

Pallet ID

Specify the unique ID for the pallet.

Warehouse

Specify the warehouse.

Handling status

Select the fields that define the view of your shipments at the outbound dock, for example, the Staged and Loaded fields.

Update on range change

Updates the data when you exit the range field.

Update on startup

Updates the data with the specified range when the form is opened.

Computer name

Displays the computer for which the setup is saved. You can have more than one setup per computer.
