Accrue revenue (form)

Click Project management and accounting > Periodic > Time and material > Accrue revenue.

Click Project management and accounting > Common > Projects > Project contracts. On the Action Pane, on the Manage tab, in the Process group, click Accrue revenue, and then select Time and material.

Click Project management and accounting > Common > Projects > Project contracts. On the Action Pane, on the Maintain tab, in the Process group, click Accrue revenue, and then select Time and material.

Use this form to post transactions on which you want to accrue revenue in time and material projects. After you generate a list of transactions by using the Select transactions to accrue revenue form, click Post in the Accrue revenue form to post the selected transactions.

Note

Only transactions from projects that are associated with a project group that is enabled to accrue revenue are available in this form.

Financial dimensions

View information about financial dimensions, such as the default dimensions and where the dimensions are used in account structures and advanced rule structures.

Sales price

View sales price information for the selected transaction, including sales, currency, accrued amount, and transaction status.

View the total sales value amount for accrued revenue for all transactions that you are going to post.

WIP

View the total WIP sales value amount for all transactions that you are going to post.

Ledger updates

View the ledger update details for all transactions that you are going to post, including debit and credit accounts, transaction types and amounts, and funding sources.

Select

Open the Select transactions to accrue revenue form, which you can use to select the transactions in time and material projects on which you want to accrue revenue.

Print

Print a list of the transactions that you have selected for posting.

Post

Specify a posting date and post the transactions that you have selected.

Fields

Project date

The date that the transaction was posted to the project.

Project ID

The project to which the transaction is attached.

Activity number

The identification of the project activity.

Category

The project category to which the line is attached.

Item

The item that is associated with the transaction.

Line property

The attribute that defines cost and sales percentages and options for revenue accrual.

Transaction type

The type of transaction for the selected line.

Transaction ID

The summary or lot identification for transactions that are attached to the same hour transaction.

Transaction voucher

The unique identifier that is assigned to the transaction in the ledger.

Description

A description of the transaction. This description was entered into the Description field when the journal was posted.

Transaction origin

The type of activity that created the transaction, such as an hour journal or timesheet entry.

Quantity

The number of hours, expense items, items, or fee that are attached to the transaction.

Sales tax group

The sales tax group that is associated with this transaction. A sales tax group is a set of codes that are used to calculate tax for sales and purchases.

Item sales tax group

The item sales tax group that is associated with this transaction. An item sales tax group is a set of codes that are used to calculate tax for items.

Invoice proposal

The invoice proposal for the selected hour transaction.

Sales currency

The currency in which the project is invoiced.

Sales price

The sales price per hour of the associated category. This price includes any additional costs and charges.

Accrued revenue

A selected check box indicates that revenue from an hour transaction has been accrued.

Accrued amount

The amount of accrued revenue. This amount must be a number larger than zero if the Accrued revenue check box is selected on the Sale tab, which signifies that revenue has been accrued.

Transaction status

The current status of the selected transaction.

Debit

The ledger account from which the accrued revenue will be debited.

Transaction type (Ledger updates tab)

The type of transaction for the debit action.

Credit

The ledger account to which the accrued revenue will be credited.

Offset account transaction type

The type of transaction for the credit action.

Amount

The amount, in accounting currency, of accrued revenue.

Funding source

The funding source that is associated with the transaction.
