Fields

Field

Description

Capability

View or enter a unique alphanumeric identifier for the capability.

Description

View or enter the description of the capability.

Resource

View or select the resource that the selected capability is assigned to.

Description

View or enter the description of the resource that the selected capability is assigned to.

Expiration

The date that the assigned capability expires for the resource. Resources with assigned capabilities that exceed their expiration date cannot be scheduled for production jobs that require that capability.

Priority

View or enter a priority value for the resource. “1” is the highest priority, and then “2,” “3,” and so on. If multiple resources have the same capability and can fulfill the level criteria, the resource with the highest priority is selected first when a production schedule is created. The highest priority is indicated by the lowest numeric value in the Priority field.

Level

View or enter a numerical rating for the capability of the resource. The level qualifies the capability. When this field is defined, scheduling uses a resource that meets the minimum level that is defined.

A higher level has a higher capability rating than a lower level. The level is user-defined. For example, you can assign a level 1.00 to a machine that drills one-inch holes and assign a level 3.00 to a machine that drills three-inch holes.
