Click System administration > Setup > Security > Assign users to roles. Select an automatic assignment rule or a user, and then click Assign organizations.

Use this form to grant access to organizations as part of a rule for automatic role assignment. You can also use this form to manually grant access to specific organizations that are in the organization hierarchy for an individual user that is in a selected role.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Grant with children

Grant access to the selected organization and all organizations that are underneath it in the hierarchy. Select this option if you want user access to automatically change when an organization is added to or removed from the selected hierarchy. For example, when an organization is added to the selected hierarchy, users automatically gain access to the new organization.

Grant access to the selected organization only.

Revoke access to the selected organization or hierarchy. If you revoke access for an automatic role assignment rule, the access for existing users is revoked the next time that the rule is run.
