Returns a scalar data type and a list of errors by using the provided text reader.(Inherited from TSqlParser.)

Parses an input string to get a data type. This will return null, if there were any errors.(Overrides TSqlParser.ParseScalarDataType(TextReader, IList<ParseError>, Int32, Int32, Int32).)

TSql100Parser.ParseScalarDataType Method (TextReader, IList<ParseError>, Int32, Int32, Int32)

Parses an input string to get a data type. This will return null, if there were any errors.

	int startLine,
	int startColumn


Type: System.IO.TextReader

The script that will be parsed.

Type: System.Collections.Generic.IList<ParseError>

When this method returns, contains the list of error that occurred during parsing.

Type: System.Int32

The starting offset.

Type: System.Int32

The starting line.

Type: System.Int32

The starting column.

Return Value

Type: Microsoft.SqlServer.TransactSql.ScriptDom.DataTypeReference

The scalar data type.
