View released products

You can use the Released products page to view the products and product masters that are released to your company.
Product – A fixed product definition that does not include any variations.
Product master – A product definition that forms the basis of product variants. A product master is always associated with a product dimension group. The product dimension group controls the product variants that can be created for the product master.
Note
You can view the product variants that are associated with a product master when you select the product master. The product variants are listed under Released product variants.
Products and product masters can be of the type Item or Service. In Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 items and products are referred to interchangeably. A product name is associated with an item ID.
View released products
- Click Procurement on the top link bar, and then click Released products on the Quick Launch.
From the Released products page you can move to view more details about selected products. You can also view and upload attachments.
View details of a selected product
- On the Released products page, click an item number. Alternatively, you can select an item record and then click View on the Product tab in the Maintain group on the Action Pane.
View or upload attachments to a product
- On the Released products page, click an item number. Alternatively, you can select an item record and then click Attachments on the Product tab in the Attachments group on the Action Pane.
