View customer invoice information [AX 2012]

You can view invoice information for a customer or sales order, and also view the most recently invoiced items and unpaid invoices for a customer. You can also export invoice information to Microsoft Excel.

Use the Customer invoices and View invoice pages to view information about all invoices for a customer or sales order. You can view information such as the invoice currency and amount, discount information, payment terms, methods of payment, invoice amounts that are not settled, and so on.

  1. Click Sales on the top link bar, and then click Customers or Sales orders on the Quick Launch.

  2. Select one of the following options:

    • On the All customers page, select the customer to view invoices for. On the Action Pane, on the Sell tab, click Invoices.

    • On the All sales orders page, select the sales order to view invoices for. On the Action Pane, on the Invoice tab, click Invoice.

    You can use the Customer invoices page to view a list of invoices for the selected customer or sales order.

  3. To view the details of an invoice, select the invoice. On the Action Pane, on the Customer invoice tab, click View invoice. You can use the View invoice page to view the details of the selected invoice. These include the related sales orders, delivery address, lines, and total amounts.

Use the Invoiced items page to view the items for which a customer has been invoiced.

  1. Click Sales on the top link bar, and then click Customers on the Quick Launch.

  2. Select the customer to view information for.

  3. On the Action Pane, on the Sell tab, click Invoiced items. You can use the Invoiced items page to view a list of the invoiced items for the selected customer.

  4. Select an item.

  5. On the Action Pane, on the Invoiced item tab, click Item. You can use the View item page to view the details of the selected item.

Use the Unpaid invoices page to view a list of invoices for which payment has not yet been received from a particular customer. You can also view copies of invoices that have been sent.

  1. Click Sales on the top link bar, and then click Customers on the Quick Launch.

  2. Select the customer to view information for. On the Action Pane, on the Sell tab, click Unpaid invoices. You can use the Unpaid customer invoices page to view the unpaid invoices for the selected customer.

  3. To view the details of an invoice, select an invoice. Information for the invoice is displayed in the lower pane.
