Place your order [AX 2012]

You can use the Shopping cart page to perform these actions:

  • View the order details for the items that you have added to the cart.

  • Place your order, create a sales order, and check out the shopping cart.

  • View the totals of your sales order.

  1. Click Shopping cart on the Quick Launch. The Shopping cart page is displayed, where you can view order information, and select items to purchase.

  2. On the Action Pane, on the Shop tab, in the Process group, click Add to add a new product to the shopping cart. Repeat this step to add all the items that you want to purchase.


    You can also add items to the shopping cart from the Product catalog. For more information, see Add items to the shopping cart.

  3. Enter the quantity in the Quantity field for each selected item.


    Some items have been set up to use product numbers. If so, select a product number in the Product number field.

  4. On the Action Pane, on the Shop tab, in the Process group, click Totals to view the totals of your sales order.

  5. On the Action Pane, on the Shop tab, in the Process group, click Checkout to continue. The Checkout page is displayed.

  6. Enter required information such as the customer’s reference for the sales order, the customer requisition number, and the requested ship date. Click Next.

  7. Check that the details of the order are correct. The details displayed on this page include information about the quantity, price per unit, discount amount, and the total amount of the order, which includes sales tax.

  8. Click Previous to go back and change the order. Or click Finish to confirm the order. You can also cancel the complete order.

  9. A confirmation message is displayed. It informs you that the sales order has been created, and where to find the sales order. Click OK to complete the order.
