Add, modify, and remove goal activities

Use the Create activity page to create activities for goals.

Depending on your permissions, you might be able to maintain only your goal activities or you might be able to maintain goal activities for the employees who report directly to you.

Note

Depending on your role or the privileges that are assigned to you, you might need to go to your Employee services site before you complete the procedures in this topic.

Create a goal activity

  1. If you are an employee and want to create an activity for your own goals, click Personal information on the top link bar, and then click Performance goals on the Quick Launch. The Performance goals page is displayed, where you can view or update a list of your goals. Go to step 4

    If you are a manager and want to create an activity for an employee, click Team on the top link bar, and then click My employees on the Quick Launch. The My employees page is displayed, where you can view a list of the employees who report to you.

  2. Select the employee whose goal you want to create an activity for.

  3. On the Action Pane, click Performance goals. The Performance goals page is displayed, where you can view a list of goals for the selected employee.

  4. Select the goal to create an activity for.

  5. Click Edit. The Edit goal page is displayed.

  6. Expand the Activities tab and then click Add. The Add activity page is displayed.

  7. Enter the following activity information:

    • Activity – Enter a name for the activity.

    • Description – Enter a description for the activity.

    • Completed – Select this option if you already have completed the activity.

    • Note – Enter additional information about the activity.

  8. Click Save and close. Your activity is created.

Modify or remove a goal activity

  1. If you are an employee and want to modify or remove activities for your own goals, click Personal information on the top link bar, and then click Performance goals on the Quick Launch. The Performance goals page is displayed, where you can view or update a list of your goals. Go to step 4.

    If you are a manager and want to modify or remove goal activities for an employee, click Team on the top link bar, and then click My employees on the Quick Launch. The My employees page is displayed, where you can view a list of the employees who report to you.

  2. Select the employee whose goal activity you want to modify or remove.

  3. On the Action Pane, click Performance goals. The Performance goals page is displayed, where you can view a list of goals for the selected employee.

  4. Select the goal with the activity that you want to modify or remove.

  5. Click Edit. The Edit goal page is displayed.

  6. Select from the following options:

    • To modify the activity, expand the Activities tab and change the information for the activity that you want to modify.

    • To delete the activity, select the activity that you want to delete and then click Remove. The activity is deleted.
