Borrow or return company equipment for an employee

Use this page to indicate that you have borrowed or returned company-owned equipment. If you are a manager, you also can use this page to view your employee’s list of loaned equipment or indicate that an employee has returned equipment.

Note

Depending on your role or the privileges that are assigned to you, you might need to go to your Employee services site before you complete the procedures in this topic.

View loaned equipment

  1. If you are an employee, click Personal information on the top link bar, and then click Loaned equipment on the Quick Launch. The Loaned equipment page is displayed, where you can view a list of your equipment loans. Go to step 3.

    If you are a manager, click Team on the top link bar. The My employees page is displayed.

  2. Select an employee and click Loaned equipment. The Loaned equipment page is displayed, where you can view a list of equipment that has been loaned to the employee.

  3. Click on a loaned item to view more information about it.

Borrow equipment

Note

Managers can loan equipment to an employee only within the Microsoft Dynamics AX client.

  1. Click Personal information on the top link bar, and then click Loaned equipment on the Quick Launch. The Loaned equipment page is displayed.

  2. Click Equipment loan.

  3. Select the loaned item that you plan to borrow.

  4. In the Loaned field, enter the date that you plan to borrow the loaned item. The default value for this field is today’s date.

  5. Enter the date that you plan to return the loaned item in the Planned return field.

  6. Click Save and close.

Return equipment

  1. If you are an employee, click Personal information on the top link bar, and then click Loaned equipment on the Quick Launch. The Loaned equipment page is displayed. Go to step 3.

    If you are a manager, click Team on the top link bar. The My employees page is displayed.

  2. Select an employee and then click Loaned equipment. The Loaned equipment page is displayed, where you can view a list of the equipment that is loaned to the employee.

  3. Select the loaned item that you want to return.

  4. Click Edit. The Edit equipment loan page is displayed.

  5. Enter a date in the Actual return field.

  6. Click Save and close.
