Request an absence [AX 2012]

Use the Absence requests list page to view your absence requests, create new absence requests, and submit your absence requests for approval.

Depending on your role or the privileges that are assigned to you, you might need to go to your Employee services site before you complete the procedures in this topic.

Click Time and attendance on the top link bar, and then click Absence requests on the Quick Launch to view your list of absence requests.

If you request to be absent for multiple days, an absence request will be created for each day that you request to be absent.

  1. Click Time and attendance on the top link bar, and then click Absence requests on the Quick Launch.

  2. Click Absence request to display the New absence request page, where you can enter your absence request information.

  3. Enter the first date that you will be absent from work.

  4. Enter the last date that you will be absent from work. If you will be absent only one day, enter the date that you entered in the Start date field. If you will be absent multiple days, enter the last date that you will be absent.

  5. Select an absence code for the absence request. The absence code indicates the reason that you will be absent.

  6. Enter additional information about your planned absence, if necessary.

  7. If you are requesting to be absent for only one day, enter the total number of work hours that you will be absent for. For example, if your normal working day is made up of eight work hours, but you will only be absent for three of those eight hours, enter 3 in this field.

  1. Click Time and attendance on the top link bar, and then click Absence requests on the Quick Launch.

  2. Select the check box next to each absence requests to submit for approval and then click Submit for approval.

  2. Select the absence request to modify and then click Edit.

  3. Modify the necessary information and then click Save and close.

  2. Select the absence request to delete and then click Delete.
