Add and maintain your education information

Refer to the following procedures to view, modify or add education information to your recorded competencies.

Note

Depending on your role or the privileges that are assigned to you, you might need to go to your Employee services site before you complete the procedures in this topic.

View education information

Use the Education FastTab on the Competencies page or the View education page to view specific education information.

  • Open the Competencies page: Click Personal information, and then click Competencies on the Quick Launch.

  • Open the View education page: Click Personal information, and then click Competencies on the Quick Launch. On the Education FastTab, select an education record and then click Details.

Modify education information

Use the Edit education page to modify information for a specific education record.

  1. Click Personal information, and then click Competencies on the Quick Launch.

  2. On the Education FastTab, select an education record to modify, then and click Edit.

  3. Modify the necessary fields.

  4. Click Save and close.

Add education information

Use the New education page to create a new education record.

  1. Click Personal information, and then click Competencies on the Quick Launch.

  2. On the Education FastTab, click Add.

  3. Select the education type.

  4. Enter a description of the education that you completed.

  5. Select the level of education that you completed.

  6. Enter any Secondary emphasis, such a minor, that you earned while completing the education.

    If you have earned additional majors or minors, you should enter them here so that the information will be available for skill mapping, if applicable.

    Note

    This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.

  7. Select the institution where you acquired the education.

  8. Enter the grade point average that you earned while completing your education.

  9. Enter the scale that your education institution uses to calculate students’ grade point averages.

  10. Enter the Credits completed for the completed degree.

    This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.

  11. Select the Credit hour basis that the credit hours are based on for the completed degree.

    This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.

  12. Enter the start and end dates for the period of time when you were attending the education institution.

  13. Enter the duration of time that you attended the education institution.

  14. Select the unit of time that is associated with the duration amount that you entered in step 10. For example, if you attended a university for four years, and you entered 4 in the Duration field, select Years in the Day/Mth field.

  15. Select the Credit hour basis that the credit hours are based on for the completed degree.

  16. Click Save and close.
