Associated inventory batches (form)
Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012
Click Inventory management > Periodic > Quality management > Quality orders. Select the quality order, click Inquiries, and then select Associated inventory batches.
Use this form to display a filtered version of the Batches form. You can view inventory batches for an item included in a quality order where the reference type is either Purchase order or Production. You can also use the Update batch attributes function in this form to update the inventory batches with the attribute value specified in the quality order.

On-hand |
Open the On-hand form to view on-hand inventory for the batch. |
Transactions |
Open the Transactions form to view a list of inventory transactions for the batch. |
Functions |
Select Update batch attributes to update one or more inventory batches with the batch attribute value specified in the quality order. Note The inventory batch you select cannot be associated with more than one purchase order, production order, or batch order. If more than one order is selected, this function is not available. |
Trace |
Open Trace inventory dimensions to track inventory dimensions for the batch. |
Reset batch disposition code |
Open the Reset batch disposition code form to change the disposition code and status for the batch. |
Inventory batch attributes |
Open the Inventory batch attributes form to view, add, or change batch attribute values for the batch. Note You can determine whether a batch has existing attributes from the Attribute values field. |

Description |

Batch number |
The batch number dimension. |
Item number |
The identification for the item to be produced in the batch. |
Manufacturing date |
The manufacturing date of the current batch. |
Shelf advice date |
The date on which action is recommended based on the status of the batch. This date is calculated using Shelf advice period in days, which is specified on the Manage inventory FastTab in the Released product details form. |
Best before date |
The date before which a batch is best used. This date is calculated using Best before period in days, which is specified on the Manage inventory FastTab in the Released product details form. |
Expiration date |
The date on which the batch expires. This date is calculated using Shelf life period in days, which is specified on the Manage inventory FastTab in the Released product details form. |
Quality order status |
The status of the quality order, if one is attached to the batch. The values can be Open, Pass, or Fail. |
Attribute values |
Inventory batch attribute that has been identified for the selected batch. |
Batch disposition code |
The disposition code for the batch. |
Batch disposition status |
The current status of the batch, which indicates whether inventory is Available or Unavailable to be issued from the batch. |
Last tested date |
The date on which the batch was last tested. |
