Rebates (list page)

Click Sales and marketing > Common > Rebates > Rebates.

Use this form to view and process rebates generated from invoiced sales order lines based on applicable rebate agreements. You can approve, cumulate, and process rebates, create rebates for credit, and adjust rebate amounts. This form can also be used to purge rebate records.

To view details for a specific rebate, double-click the rebate line. The Rebate form is displayed for that rebate record.

Approve

Approve the selected rebate if approval is required. You can also use the multi-select feature to approve multiple rebates at the same time.

Cumulate

Open the Cumulate rebates form to process rebates for customers set up on a cumulative weekly, monthly, or yearly agreement. When you use this function, the rebate status changes from To be calculated to Calculated or Approved.

Process

Open the Process rebates form to post approved rebates to the ledger.

Purge

Open the Rebate purge form to submit a batch processing job to purge rebates. For more information, see Submit a batch processing job from a form.

Rebate transaction

Open the Rebate transactions form to view journal transactions for the rebate.

Rebate agreements

Open the Rebate agreements form to view, create, and maintain rebate agreements.

Fields

Field

Description

Mark

Select to mark the rebate for credit. If selected, you can also change the value in the Corrected rebate amount field.

Rebate ID

The identification for the rebate.

Rebate program ID

The identification for the rebate program that was used for this rebate.

Rebate program type

The type of rebate program that was used for this rebate.

Invoice

The number of the invoice that generated the rebate.

Account number

The customer account number associated with the rebate.

Item number

The identification for the item purchased by the customer for which the rebate is being generated.

Status

The status of the rebate, which can be any of the following:

  • To be calculated ─ The final rebate amount is pending completion of the Cumulate Rebates run. This status applies to rebates generated from weekly, monthly, or yearly agreements.

  • Calculated ─ The rebate has been calculated and is pending approval.

  • Approved ─ The rebate has been approved if approval is required.

  • Mark ─ The rebate is available for processing.

  • ProcessedProcessed

  • Free ─ A TMA type rebate created manually for a specific customer.

Process date

The date on which the rebate posted to the ledger accounts. When the rebate posts, Process manufacturing production and logistics sets the rebate status to Mark.

From qty.

The starting quantity in the range for determining the level breaks for rebates. This value must be larger than the minimum quantity, if one is specified in the rebate agreement.

To qty.

The ending quantity in the range for determining the level breaks for rebates.

Value

Enter or view the value of the rebate.

Amount type

The type of rebate amount, which may be Currency per unit, Fixed amount, or Percentage.

Customer rebate group

The customer rebate group if one is specified in the rebate agreement. If there is no customer rebate group, this field is blank.

Item rebate group

The rebate group if one is specified in the rebate agreement. If there is no rebate group, this field is blank.

Starting rebate amount

The rebate amount before any corrections.

Corrected rebate amount

The balance of the rebate after a correction is made.

Rebate balance amount

The balance of the rebate that is due to the customer.

Currency

The currency in which the total amount is represented.

Payment type

The type of payment used for the rebate. The payment types include the following: Pay using accounts payable, Customer deduction, Trade spending, and Freight.
